Inspired by her years of childhood Saturday art classes practicing Chinese brush painting, Carmen has developed an appreciation for a calm and thoughtful painting process. She believes art and painting can be a therapeutic way to reconnect with yourself and to practice self reflection. She is the creator of the “Morning tea and Watercolour painting class,” a painting workshop focused on calm and relaxation, while practicing Chinese brush painting – her idea of a perfect weekend morning.
Carmen paints from her home studio in Vancouver and her watercolour paintings have been exhibited at Surrey Art Gallery, Kafkas Cafe, Earls Restaurants, ROVE and 100 Braid St Studios. She has also painted multiple murals in Vancouver’s Mount pleasant, Gastown and Commercial Drive neighborhoods and is a Vancouver Mural Festival alumnae.
